Representatives of National Recycling Association RUSLOM.COM take part in Russian Energy Week on 10-13 October in Moscow

The Russian Energy Week (REW) is the key annual international-level event in Moscow in the energy field. Of specific interest to our audience, the development of electric transport was discussed. According to a number of forum experts, the creation of charging stations for electric cars is unprofitable due to their small number in Russia.

At the same time, Alexander Khvalko, Sales Director of Rosenergoatom Concern, noted that according to forecasts, by 2030 there will be 1.5 million electric cars in Russia (currently 32 thousand). With such a number of cars, recharging will be profitable.

The number of charging stations, which is now 4.3 thousand, will increase to 72 thousand.

It is necessary to create an infrastructure for electric cars and a single operator of network charging stations. According to the participants of the Russian Energy Week-23 session, the generation part of our power supply system is better prepared for the immediate appearance of a large number of electric cars than the grid part. There is also a need for better legal regulation in this area and the creation of a regulatory body. Appearance on the roads of Russia of a multiplied number of electric vehicles and the infrastructure for them automatically creates an acute need to improve the sphere of recycling and utilisation.

The Association RUSLOM.COM has paid special attention to this issue when preparing proposals for the authorities.
